These lunches can be used to initiate discussion of an area of common teaching or research interest. Common Ground Lunches can also serve as the venue for faculty members finalizing a curricular initiative or an EKI position proposal. Groups meeting more than a few times should explore other sources of support offered through faculty development.
We will circulate a list of lunches via e-mail by Sept. 22, 2008.
In return, we ask the following of lunch organizers:
1. A title, a brief description, and a date (any time between now and spring break). Send these to Jean Cousins at cousins@grinnell.edu
2. A brief report outlining the key issues that arose from the lunch. Please be advised that we intend to publish these on the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies web site.
We also ask that those who sign up for lunches attend them, so that food doesn't go to waste.
