Phi Beta Kappa Awards

Neil Klausner Sophomore Book Awards
The awards are given to students who have achieved the highest GPAs in their class during
their first year at Grinnell. Each student is given a cash prize to be used for book
purchases at the college bookstore.

The 2006-2007 Sophomore Book Award winners will be announced Thursday,
April 26th at the Phi Beta Kappa Scholar's Convocation in Herrick Chapel.

Phi Beta Kappa Scholar's Award
The award is customarily given for an outstanding piece of scholarly work completed
by a Grinnell student prior to the final semester of the senior year. “Scholarly work” is
to be interpreted broadly, to include such accomplishments as a scholarly paper or
project completed in connection with a course, an original literary piece, a scientific
research project, an essay, or any scholarly endeavor which results in a tangible
product.

The 2006-2007 Scholar's Award winner will also be announced Thursday, April 26th.
