We want you to have a great time when you visit Grinnell. That's why we think it's best for you to visit while classes are in session. You'll have the most opportunities to see what it is like to be a Grinnell student by living and learning amongst Grinnell students.
First Semester - September through early December
Second Semester - Late January through April
The Office of Admission is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and many Saturdays during the academic year from 9:00 a.m. to noon. As you are planning your visit, please keep in mind that we are not able to offer campus visits on
national holidays or during the week prior to and the week of mid-term and final exams.
We offer limited visit opportunities during fall, winter, and spring breaks.

Are you traveling alone? We can provide transportation to and from the airport for prospective students traveling alone.
Have a large group? Please call the Office of Admission for our group-visit policies.

- Attend a group information session
- Interview with an Admission representative
- Required for Early Admission and home-school students
- Strongly encouraged (not required) for all applicants.
- Interviews must be completed prior to the application for admission deadlines. Depending on time of year and availability, local alumni interviews are also an option.
- Attend classes
- Meet professors and program directors (e.g., coaches, music directors)
- Stay overnight in a residence hall
- Overnight accommodations available Sunday – Friday for prospective seniors and Sunday – Thursday for prospective juniors throughout the academic year.
- Please note that due to the large number of seniors visiting campus during the spring, secondary school juniors may stay overnight from September through February only.
